Reynolds American Acquires Niconovum

Reynolds American (NYSE:RAI) has agreed to acquire Niconovum AB, Sweden, for SEK 310 million. Niconovum markets innovative nicotine replacement therapy products under the Zonnic brand name in Sweden and Denmark. Its nicotine gum, mouth spray and pouches use proprietary technology for nicotine delivery.

Berry Plastics to Acquire Superfos Packaging US

Berry Plastics has signed an agreement to acquire the US business of Superfos Packaging, Denmark, for $82 million. Superfos Packaging manufactures injection molded plastic rigid open top containers and other plastic packaging products for the food, industrial & household chemical, building materials and personal care end markets and had sales of $46.8 million in 2008.
