Elekta AB, Sweden, is planning to acquire Resonant Medical, Canada, for CAD 30 million. Resonant Medical develops medical imaging systems for image guided radiation therapy of soft tissues using latest generation 3-D ultrasound technology. The company is located in Montreal and has 35 employees.

Sherwin-Williams to Acquire Becker Acroma

The Sherwin-Williams Company (NYSE:SHW) plans to acquire the Becker Acroma industrial wood coatings business from AB Wilh. Becker, Sweden. Becker Acroma is one of the largest manufacturers of industrial wood coatings globally and a technology leader in water, UV, and other wood coatings. It has annual sales of approximately US$300 million, 9 manufacturing facilities, and more than 900 employees.
